About MensTattooIdeas

MensTattooIdeas has been publishing tattoo design guides since 2014. The site exists for one job: helping you walk into a studio with a clear idea instead of a vague one.

What this site is

Long-form, image-led guides organised the way people actually choose a tattoo - by where it goes on the body (arm, back, chest, neck, shoulder) and by what it depicts (skulls, wolves, roses, tribal, lettering).

Each guide collects designs in one place and explains what the style involves: how visible it is, how the placement affects pain and healing, what the motif has traditionally meant, and what to discuss with your artist before the needle comes out.

How the guides are made

The designs shown here are collected as reference material, not as templates to copy. A good tattoo is made with an artist, not downloaded - bring these images as a starting point for a conversation about something that will be yours.

Where a guide makes a claim about healing, placement or aftercare, it reflects general, widely-published practice. It is not medical advice, and it is never a substitute for what your artist and your doctor tell you about your own skin.

Corrections and image credits

Some images on this site predate our current sourcing process. If you own an image here and want it credited differently or removed, or if a guide states something inaccurate, contact us with the page URL and we will act on it.

What changed in 2026

The site was rebuilt in September 2026: rewritten as a fast static site, with the URLs of every guide preserved so existing links keep working. Content review is ongoing, guide by guide.
